HURO/0901 - Third Call (soft projects - one step)

Date interval: 08 October 2009 - 22 January 2010

The National Development Agency from Hungary and the Ministry of Regional Development from Romania open the third call for proposals in the frame of the Hungary-Romania Cross-Border Co-operation Programme 2007 – 2013.

What activities may be financed?

The range of supported activities is quite wide. Potential applicants can apply for financing for the preparation of studies and plans for the development of cross border transport, newscast, nature protection, business co-operation and development of tourism. Furthermore, there is possibility for financing common research projects and co-operation projects of the sectors involved in R&D, in addition to enhancing co-operation among institutions involved in the field of education, labour market, healthcare and risk protection. Finally, there are substantial financial resources allocated within the third call for the action Cooperation between communities (2.5.1), since in the case of the first call this proved to be very popular among applicants.

Who can apply?

The spectrum of eligible applicants comprises, as before, those non-profit organisations (ranging from public institutions to local government institutions, chambers of commerce and industry and NGOs, etc.) who act in the purpose of public interest in the specific border area and wish to carry out a joint project with cross-border relevance together with one or more partners from the other side of the border.

How much funding is available?

In the frame of the present call more than 20 MEUR community funding will be available (ERDFfunds), amount which is increased with the relevant Hungarian and Romanian state co-financing.

How to apply?

The applications have to be submitted to the Joint Technical Secretariat (JTS), to Budapest, Hungary.
