Closed calls

HURO/0801 - First call (soft projects - one step)

Date interval: 15 October 2008 - 30 January 2009

The National Development Agency from Hungary and the Ministry for Development, Public Works and Housing from Romania, as the Managing and National Authorities open the first call for proposals in the frame of the Hungary-Romania Cross Border Co-operation Programme 2007 – 2013.

In the frame of the open call support can be given to projects that aim to the sustainable development of the key conditions of the joint cooperation area (transport, communication, nature protection), as well as to strengthen the social and economic cohesion of the border area (business cooperation, research development, education, healthcare, cooperation between communities). The present call for proposals is mainly opened for preparatory activities (studies, plans), respectively actions encouraging cooperation, change of experiences and the development of partnerships, in the frame of the one step periodical model.

Applications can be submitted by non-profit organizations governed by public or private law, like local governments, micro-regional associations, institutions of these, as well as, non-governmental organizations (churches, foundations, associations, public bodies, public companies). The project partnership has to be composed of at least one Hungarian and one Romanian partner from the eligible border area.

Projects will be supported from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), as well as the state co-financing of the two Member States participating in the programme, The Republic of Hungary and Romania. In the frame of the present call ERDF totalling 16 746 954 EUR will be opened.
